		<description>I agree that the programs vary. I am soon to be attending school for this profession. The school I am attending has three options. You can go for a certificate, which is close to 50 hours. I think about 9 months. You can also go for a diploma in dental assisting which is around 72 hours. So that would be around 18 months. They also have a degree program, and that is 2 years for your associates.</description>
